Plans and what lapsing means

Free: 5 refs. Collection: 200 refs for USD 5 a year, renewing automatically, more blocks for bigger collections. Pricing has the summary; this page has the mechanics.

Quota

Your quota is 5 + 200 × blocks. You mint refs when you need them (New ref, or the API), up to the quota. Refs are never taken away; the quota only limits how many new ones you can make and how many stay editable.

Upgrading

From Account, "Get 200 refs" opens the checkout of our merchant of record. The plan is active the moment the payment goes through, usually before you are back on the page. "Add 200 refs" on an active plan adds a block to the same subscription; the next renewal charges the new total.

Renewal

Yearly, automatically, on the card you used. You get a receipt by email. If the card fails, the provider retries over a couple of weeks and emails you; during that time the plan stays active. If it keeps failing the plan ends.

Cancelling

"Manage billing" on Account opens the provider's portal. Cancel there: the plan runs until the end of the paid year and then ends. You can resume before that date without paying again.

When a plan ends

Your refs are ordered by creation. The first 5 stay editable; the ones after them become read-only: they keep redirecting to their last target, forever, but you cannot change the target or the label until you have a plan again. Nothing is deleted, nothing on your shelf stops working. Export is always available.

Receipts and tax

The merchant of record is the seller, issues the receipt and applies VAT or sales tax for your country. Download invoices from the billing portal.
